Artist Biography for Suzanne Rescigna

I started painting in high school due to a fabulous art teacher’s encouragement.  I n the 1980’s I took classes in painting, drawing, and art appreciation at an art institute affiliated with Houston Museum of Fine Art. I was attracted to watercolor and took private lessons to advance my knowledge. I love the tension of the interaction of the water, paper, and paint that watercolor provides. One never knows what will happen, no matter one’s plan. After retirement, I returned to watercolor classes and painting groups such as North Olympic Watercolors (NOW).

My husband Bruno and I moved to Port Angeles last year, and I was pleased to find NOW and Olympic Peninsula Art Association (OPPA) to continue my adventure with art.
